My yard is more functional than beautiful, and it certainly isn’t weeded. The reason, years ago, that I started putting in raised garden beds was to cover ground that would otherwise be occupied by unstoppable weeds.
But it’s relaxing to sit or walk through the greenery, and watch the bees and the local, small-scale wildlife. This is a walk-around of our yard a week past the first day of summer.
More blooms and greens to come, if all goes well.
