The hatch rate of the last batch of eggs in the incubator was next to nothing. But the three chicks are doing very well, and I could faint from how adorable they are.

The weather is starting to get chilly, but I’m going to roll the dice on one more round with the incubator right away. One of my hens laid a bluish egg, and I’ve collected a few eggs from the known fertile ones this time to go with it. I think that was my biggest mistake this last time – I may have tried to incubate quite a few from a hen that didn’t get along with the rooster. Maybe, considering that it will only be a two week difference in hatch dates, I can combine any additional chicks with these cuties.
