I’ve been busily tearing things up. The front lawn, for instance. Because there are more beneficial, or useful, or pretty things that could replace the things that I’m tearing up. This is the current state of our front yard. It probably looks dreadful to most. But I see something beautiful taking shape. You can’t really tell from this picture, but the yard is full of popsicle sticks with plant names on them, next to those seedlings. The plants that are noticeable, the tall ones, were mostly planted last year. Except for some daylilies, Veronica, and some of the purple coneflower. There is still quite a bit of grass to kill off along edges, and the side yard has a patch that has to go. It’s a work in progress. And it won’t look so bare or dreadful for long.
