A Look at Mid-June

Peas, beans, carrots, corn, potatoes, tomatoes, two kinds of cucumbers, winter and summer squash, onions, and garlic, all appearing to do well. It’s mid-June. Grapevines , raspberries (in the left corner, against the fence and garage), and rhubarb also doing fine. Also, Gracies sandbox (the big square one) is doing well, according to her.

I bought three “cheater” pepper plants, as those I started from seed just don’t look happy. I can hardly wait to try a Mad Hatter pepper. It’s supposed to be just the right balance of sweet to spicy.

There will be twice as many raised beds next year, hopefully, but I don’t think we’ll feel shorted this year. Barring any wicked weather.
